It all begins with a single thought (question): “Who am I?” There is no answer to this question. Really, to answer the question, the question must be dropped. What a dilemma and paradox, eh? The answer to the question is that you must let go of the question. In truth, could it be any more beautiful - or simple?
All the time, we are forming our answers to this question, “who am I?” We create an identity around this question. You see we understand ourselves, from everything that gives answers to this question, "who am I?" We are this person, we are that person, we like this, we like that, we hate this, we hate that.
These answers become so strong, that we hold on to them as if our very lives depended on it. We fight for them, we kill for them, we die for them.
All our perceptions of duality stem from us trying to answer the question, "who am I?"
Who you believe you are is just an idea - a thought.
Who you really are is everything else.
